When the Privacy Mesh Network is active, Winston is actively encrypting and scrambling your internet traffic with several other anonymous Winston devices (known as connected peers), cloaking your identity and location. Winston automatically routes both inbound and outbound traffic through numerous other Winston devices, selecting new peers every 10 minutes. Your traffic is mixed anonymously with that of other users, making it impossible for trackers to connect individual users with their IP addresses.
The following options are available:
High Risk Sites Only: This instructs Winston to direct high-risk traffic over the Privacy Mesh Network. This setting optimizes performance while still providing the privacy protections afforded by the network.
Enabled: Routes most traffic over the Privacy Mesh Network. Can result in reduced performance.
Ignore: Maintains connection to Privacy Mesh Network, but pauses use of the network.
Disabled: Disconnects from Privacy Mesh Network
