Many schools and businesses utilize proxy services to monitor and control access to the internet. Winston disables these services on your local network.
As an example, if you have a school-issued iPad, access to various websites (such as Netflix) may be disallowed by your administrator. While on a Winston network, this proxy service will be disabled, allowing you access.
Furthermore, all communication from the device will be encrypted and scrambled over the internet, and tracking and advertising will be disabled. Please note however that the administrator of the Winston device will now control access.
